Had a great weekend. Nothing exciting, just did stuff around the house that had been on the to do list for too long. Hope the ags and horns can both show some fight coming out of the losers bracket over the next few days. Y'all have a great week, TBH.

Yep. You can rest safe as the entire force will be responding to any alarms at your house from now on.

          I had this dream!

Welcome to Monday screeners of green.

I need to type out my father's day letter from my 12 year old and share it. We had our issues earlier this summer with inappropriate use of her cell phone. I was very disappointed. Fortunately she made up for a lot of the disappointment with her letter. Apparently somebody's doing something right.

I'll type it out and consider sharing. It may be too personal.

my boy turns 13 this summer...i'm not quite sure i'm ready to deal with this yet & glad mom keeps a tight leash on her first born. She makes my life easy on the watching over his shoulder part.

I don't even want to consider these 'growing up life issues' with my baby girl who is only 10.

Glad it turned out as well as it did steven.

              Thanks for the support guys.

She said there were 2 squad cars on our street when she left for work. They "smiled" as she drove by.....I bet they did.

That's pretty sorry, I'd call the chief.......but he was probably one of'em.

Happy Father's Day to all Dads.

My girls headed off for camp on Saturday so they left presents for me to open when they were gone on Sunday.

Seven year old Neely drew me a great picture (she's actually a pretty good artist) and my 12 year old Blaine wrote this...

                  Dear Daddy,

I know that I won’t get to be here on the actual father’s day. I really wish I could be, but we can pretend today’s father’s day! On this day, I am reminded of how ah-mazing you are. I realize now that I am soooo lucky to call you my Dad. You say that you spoil us and yeah, you kind of do. But spoiled or not, I love you just the same. My love for you grows and grows every day as I get older and more mature. You teach me such important life lessons. You taught me about the world. You taught me about the future. You taught me about life. But in my opinion, the most important lesson you have taught me is how to have fun. I always have the best times with you, memories that I will cherish. Like the times we explore Greenville together and when we have our special daddy daughter dates. These are just two of the many memories that I have had with you, but you know, I’m only 12! Just imagine what kind of fantastic adventures we will go on!? On the topic of being 12, yes, I am 12 but I won’t be forever. One day I will graduate from college, get married, and even have kids of my own. But no matter how old I am, I will always be your baby. I will never be too old to go on an adventure or go exploring. I will never be too old to build forts or snuggle. And I will never ever be too old to curl up in my Daddy’s arms and be happy. I know I’m not a baby, but I’m your baby and you will always be my Daddy, not Dad, or Father, just Daddy. Because that’s who you are. I called you “Daddy” when I learned to speak and I will always call you my Daddy. When I’m with my Daddy, that’s when I’m my happiest. Sadly, I can’t see you every day but I don’t have any control over that. Can you guess my favorite day of the week? Wednesday. The day I get to see you. I also want to say that you inspire me to do great things in this world. To make a difference because that’s what you have done. You have made a huge difference in my life and also many others. You are my hero. I love you Daddy.

                  (heart), Blaine

I hope all Fathers enjoy the ride as much as I do. There are so many good Moms and Dads here that help me with solid example. Thank you.

I'm not sure I'd get upset about a law enforcement officer getting a "free show" when he was just doing his job. I'd feel safe knowing they're going to respond when the alarm goes off. Next time it might be the real thing....just sayin!

                    Y'all have a good day!

I can't believe how quick the years go by leggy....

Dale, take note and absorb what you have today...the term don't blink really applies with the kiddos.

This week, my family's life gets turned upside down. Tomorrow, movers show up to pack our belongings. By Friday, we'll be in a home that is not the one in which my kids have spent their first years. It's bittersweet. All-in-all, I think we'll be fine in the San Antonio area. But, we're leaving a large chunk of ourselves in Atascocita.

                              Here we go.

Ha, i'll be sure to send them your way since you don't mind!

My buddy Tom is working nights right now in League City. We'll see how long it takes to get to him lol.

Cool letter Leggy, does this mean she gets her phone privileges back?
