Beautiful morning out there. Enjoying cup numero uno after sleeping in til 8. Trying to decide if I am going to be a couch tater today or do something. The couch sure is looking good over there.
Had fun last night at the Born to Be Wild: the Man Journey event in Houston. Comedian Brad Stine had us rolling in the floor talking about men in Texas and eating animals and hanging their heads on the wall, the guy is crazy. I have heard a few songs from Big Daddy Weave but this was my first time to see them and they were great. Their lead guy looks to be between 275 and 300 lbs and he brought it. Great group, I will be looking for a CD soon. Topped the event off with Tim Tebow talking about God in his life and his desire to be a NFL quarterback since he was 6 years old. This young man is the real deal and I look forward to watching his career in the pros.
The drive home included breakfast at IHOP. Waitresses had fun and lot of work keeping 25 men in coffee at midnight. It was all good!

Got a hunt planned to bag some mini-drumsticks at HEB. Wish me luck.

Had to work today since we were off due to the bad weather Friday. Makes for a short weekend.

Dad and I got into the quail yesterday...it was REALLY a nice day once it warmed up. The jeep was getting worked on and would have had limited if we could have shot out the front instead of dealing with it in my suburban.

Narco had the light come on and retrieved his first two all the way back to hand. He's still not excited about picking them up but he is starting to 'get it'. Scout is really sore today...that brush is just brutal on dogs.

We got about a dozen a piece by the end of the day...this is the afternoon batch.

Well done Artos. Just got home from an awesome service at church and preparing for the afternoon. I think there's a football game sometime this afternoon but can't remember what time it starts.

I will not say what the weather is like here today.

Went to archery range to sight-in and broad head test my new Judge. One pin set up out to 40 yards, and I hit 3inch circle on a Rheinhardt insert with Thunderhead at 40. Time to draw first blood with the bow.
