If he is throwing up that much he needs to see a doctor. Thags not normal at all. Could be that he is simply alergic to somethin he is eating but its not normal at all

About as frequent as I do. It all depends on if we drink more than we should have.

Some of you guys need to read the responses before posting, he already had his boy to a doctor and called a second.

My nephew Lucas threw up so much he earned the named Pukas from his siblings. They never did figure out why and he eventually grew out of it. Hopefully you get it figured out Txhuntr2. It's not only hard to watch a little one go through that, it's a bummer to clean up all the time.

It may not be the same situation, but our son would spit-up a lot. We asked his pediatrician and they said as long as it was “happy spit-up” it was normal. Basically if everything else seemed normal and he was just spitting up then he should be fine. He has eventually grown out of it now.
Our daughter never did that, but she was really sensitive to gagging so when she first started eating she threw up a lot.

You may want to check the size of his TONSILS. When I was that age I threw up everyday at breakfast simply b.c of the gag reflex my large tonsils gave me. Had my tonsils out in first grade and never had another problem.

If you're in Houston get an appointment with a doctor at Texas Childrens. My little girl was sick for a full week and our doctor said "it is what it is" which ticked me and my wife off. We called Houston, got her in the next day, and 2 days later our baby was 100% back to normal. I can't say enough about Texas Childrens! They were jam up when I was a kid with heart issues I was having, and they fixed my little girl up in 2 days when my pedi in Beaumont had no freakin clue!

I will be the odd man out here as my (now 7 yr old) has thrown up at least 50 times in his life and has not had the stomach bug but a few times. He just has a sensitive stomach. Sometimes it has to do with food, sometimes it doesn't. I bet he has thrown up at least a dozen times just at moments when he was miserably tired. He almost ALWAYS threw up if he was throwing a fit or crying hard after getting in trouble. He has thrown up multiple times while we were playing/wrestling/tickling and he has thrown up late in the day during soccer tournaments when he has played 2-3 games and is flat worn out. It is just the way his body reacts. We were concerned early on (around the age of 2) as well, but saw 2 different doctors that told us he was perfectly fine and that he would wear out of it. He has mostly grown out of it over the last year.

I wouldn't assume that because he loves them, he's not allergic to them... a simple test will tell you the truth.... my daughter loved bread and pasta too, she never had major stomach issues, but was diagnosed with Celiac's (Gluten) and while the diet change is tough to adapt to, it's definitely been a change for the better for her.

My wife's friend that we called is a Dr at Texas Childrens. We're less worried after talking to her last night.

Thanks. If we have to cut out gluten its gonna be tough. My wife's side of the family is Italian so bread and pasta are food groups. Hahaha. Gonna give this reflux medicine a chance and make an appointment for celiacs testing next week.

How often is normal? Do other kids ralph this much?
this sounds exactly like my oldest son ,13 now, when he was 3....i took him to dallas and Shreveport, spent who knows how much $$ trying to find out what was wrong, and ended up one day at work was about to head out for another appointment, when my then new boss asked what was wrong with him him. as soon as i told him he said,"sounds like migraines."......exactly what it ended up being.....i thought it was food allergies, something bad wrong........migraines.

Who was the pedi in Beaumont? We had problems with one also, found another we liked but now that we moved we just used Texas Childrens.
