My buddy mark up in Montana reaches in a hole after one and drug it out. I’m pretty sure that video is on YouTube

We had them on our lease near Benavides. Never tried to chase one down.

The ones I messed with in Montana ,when I lived on a remote ranch, were too deep in their holes or dens. It was awful cutting across the sections while moving herds of cattle and hitting those holes. They were plentiful and you couldn’t always see the holes until it was too late.

            Three kinds of people,

            1. People who talk about doing crazy stuff.

            2. People who do crazy stuff.

            3. People who do crazy stuff while being videoed and posting it here so we can all laugh... I mean admire your skill.

            PLEASE be a number 3.

Just feed them bread and they will be your buddy. This is my pops feeding one in camp while sitting on the ground at about 12”. The bread got stuck to the roof of his mouth and he couldn’t stop laughing.
I chased a big one down when I was young and killed it with a hammer. Felt bad after I did it but someone said go. I should have got it mounted but it stunk to high hell and was covered in fleas. I wouldn’t kill another unless it was a problem.

Everytime I see this thread I think of Ernest goes to camp. "Never do this to a momma badger and her babies." Been a while since I've seen the movie, but I'm pretty sure it was something like that. Good luck!
