I am going to play around with a new app I found on my next camera pull.
    It is called i-easydrive

It is supposed to let you move stuff onto and off of your phone and a thumb drive. I figure it will probably recognize an SD card just as quickly and allow me to do the transfer a lot easier.
I always get the largest hard drive iPhone available when I upgrade, and I always clear as much room as necessary for my maps, topo, trail cam transfers etc...
If I am able to pull a Cam this week, I will post up on here with how it went.

The only problem with the straight card reader with an iPhone, is you only get to see thumbnails before you import.

I looked at the website but couldn’t tell from the description. Sounded like it was just for viewing.
Its just a card reader. It plugs into my phone and allows my phone to access the SD card like a laptop would. Has all the same functions that a laptop would when viewing, just requires a free app download to access the card.

Not the one I have. It lets me see thumbnails, an if I click on them I get a full-screen image, capable of zooming and everything.

I use a digital camera i thought was no longer used since she started using her phone for a camera. Funny thing is i find pictures of the nieces and nephews on the cards from time to time.

Save money get one of the card readers from academy that inserts in your phone as if charging, put card it in and view right on your phone (one for iPhone and android s), or buy small digital camera, it serves dual purpose...take pic and you can put your card in and view from their.

128 gb Ipad should be here tomorrow. Hoping this will be the solution to my first world problems.

I should be able to tranfer pics from the cards to the Ipad, wipe cards and put them back in cameras, view the images on a nice big screen at my leisure and share / upload them to dropbox using a cellular connection or wifi.

Average amount of pics on your cards? I just tried apples SD card reader with my Ipad primarily so I could just take the cards and look at them while in my hotel during the week on business. I do not travel with my lap top. It was way slow and I had to do a hard restart on my iPad. This was with about 2000 pics and the ones it did load or save were cropped. On your water and scrape locations I think it will work but possibly a problem on your feeders from pics you have posted. If it works please let us know it could easily be operator error.

Card reader for my Samsung, I can check cards on the spot. Screenshot the ones I want. If it's a large card with tons of pics I'll just swap it out with a fresh card and run through it back at camp.

It varies. Right now I'm just checking cams on the home place and it's like 400-500 pics per week on 4 cams.
When I'm hunting on the 2000 acre ranch we're checking a dozen cameras every week but they only average 200-300 pictures each.
Of course we just save a handful and trash the rest.

We'll see. Next thread I make might be slightly used Ipad for sale.

The newer iPads have the 8-pin connector with no need for an adapter like on the iPhone when you have an otterbox type case. Like you said, the little thumbnails are too hard to see on the phone but are plenty large enough on the iPad. I still don’t think most people understand the beauty of the StealthCam reader. There is NO NEED to download the entire card. Just open and view the ones you want. Save those and delete the rest.

Also go to a pawn shop and get just the wireless iPad to use. They are much cheaper. If your just using it for this no need to have any service. Then you can look at TBH at home on it.

I have used multiple devices and always go back to the laptop. I do exactly what you do. Pull the card, replace and download and repeat!

I know this is a older thread but it is chock full of information. I have tried my cell phone but it is small. I have used a Wildgame Viewer with the 5inch screen from BPS for a few years but it was never really good. Often said my cards were faulty or it would reprogram the dang SD cards. I even carried my laptop for sometime, but waaay to much sensitive information on it to be dragging it to stands and banging it around. Plus a lot heavier.

My wife just got me a iPadPro and my daughter ordered the SD card reader that is specific for this iPad based on your comments above. It will be here on Wednesday........just in time!!! Hopefully, I don't have to reprogram cards and get faulty SD card messages all dang season.
