Fun to shoot! Crawl up over the dam and lay there waiting for the majority of them to dive. Start shooting! When the ones that are underwater come up, they'll realize somethings wrong, because their buddies will be gone. They'll take off like an airplane and you can bust some more right along the top of the water.

Pain in the butt to clean, they are decent table fair but I wouldn't waste a shell on em unless I was starving...

I'd bet they are ring necks, and not bluebills (scaup). Ringnecks are much more common.... and DON'T taste like chicken, but they sure are fun to shoot.

Brings back a fond memory of a hunting buddy of mine. We had some scaup come in to the decoys and he raised up and shoots a double. I ask him why he wanted to shoot a stupid scaup? He replied-falls just like a mallard..lol
