New Year Workout Accountability 2018

    I decided to repeat the last block of Body Beast. Not following the video, just the workout plan. Too much standing around talking on the video - hurry up and wait! I figured it would be a lot easier after completing 2 rounds of Athlean X, but it was about the same.
    DB bench press 15-12-8 rep pyramid with 8 rep drop set.
    Incline DB fly pyramid SS incline DB press pyramid with DS.
    Close grip DB bench press pyramid giant set with partial chest fly pyramid and decline push-up pyramid.
    Tricep extension pyramid with DS.
    Single arm kick backs pyramid with DS, SS tricep push up pyramid.
    1 minute tricep bench dips SS 1 minute in and outs.

      Incline DB press/DB hammer curls
      Decline Press/DB curls
      Pec Dec flyes/low back extensions

        DB front to back lunge pyramid each leg.
        DB squat progressive set 15-12-8 rest 30 seconds 8-12-15.
        Full to half DB sumo squat force set 5 sets of 5, holding half squat 10 seconds between sets.
        DB Bulgarian split squat PS each leg.
        DB stiff leg deadlifts pyramid with DS.
        50 DB calf raises SS 30 seconds beast abs -2 sets each.

          Four days off due to travel and work. Hit the legs and abs hard today.

            Checking in....seeing all yalls reports are making me jealous. First follow up with the dr was today. Good news is I’m way ahead of the curve on getting my ROM and muscle strength back. I credit that to all the gym work I’ve done the past 6-7 yrs. All of the stretching I did leading up to this has paid off as well. Y’all keep it up, I’m hoping to be back in the gym at some point next week. I’ll check back then.

              You don't need your legs for some light machine work.

              Tomorrow is an off day for me. I have routine blood work Thursday and don't want to screw any of it up.

                That's good to hear about your recovery. My PT has said the same thing about my hip. If I had not been working out all these years my rehab time would be considerably longer. Get back in there and at least do some light upper body work so you don't get really sore when you can get back full time.

                Lat pulldown
                Bodyweight ring pullups
                Wide grip seated row
                Reverse grip bodyweight pullups

                Barbell curl
                Over head cable curl
                Dumbbell hammer curl

                Tomorrow will be shoulders and triceps

                Thinking about incorporating some leg work starting next week. Very light leg extensions, prone leg curls, leg press. I'll see what my ortho thinks about it on Monday.
