there is a reason the Feds change the amount of days allowed to hunt waterfowl more than they do the bag limits.
Not everybody kills a deer/ limit in a day. But the more days everybody is allowed to hunt the more overall animals are killed.

That's outstanding news. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

It seems like others on here are into muzzle loaders and extended season. Can someone educate me on why? I don't have any experience with them other than what I've seen on tv. With that said, it seems like they are more like a modern rifle now with ranges out to 200+yds, accuracy, etc. I get that they used to be primitive weapons and I may agree if there was a restriction but I don't see the purpose for an extended season when the only real difference is single shot vs multiple shot between a muzzleloader and rifle. I am not trying to offend, only understand so if what I have stated is incorrect let me know. Hell, I may go get a muzzleloader if it means more time in the woods.

It should be traditional muzzleloaders only. Using inlines is the same as using a crossbow during bow season.

              Remove the spike provision.
Make Cooke and Denton counties archery only.
Per acre priced permit for high fencing a place. Exemption if every effort was made to chase out the native deer before finishing the fence.

I like the AR rule but almost everybody uses trail cams and bring there phone with them we should be able to show pics to game warden or biologist and get the OK we can shoot the bucks that will never make 13

i like the permit idea on the HF! after all, they do severely change or inhibit the natural travel of game animals.

Have a “first buck” youth buck permit available for youth to harvest any buck in AR counties.

Or have a drawing annually some number of youth buck tags in AR restricted counties.

I would lower the daily bag limit on quail to 5

I've been told they will eventually move to GMU (game management units) like other states and it will basically be statewide MLD. Landowners will be alloted tags, the small acrage guys will probalby have to draw tags and some years will be left out in the cold. As land become more fragmented in some parts of the state thats just the way its going to be, this is decades away probably.

I can't disagree with you, the whole modern muzzleloader thing has kinda ruined it, its like whats the point they are just building new weapons to circumvent the rules. I feel the same way about crossbows being allowed for everyone in archery season, they are considering allowing arrow guns next year, SMH.

                            1. One day to legally deer hunt at night in East Texas.
                            2. Allow electronic duck calls to be used for those that do nothing but scare them off.
                            3. Let kids shoot what they want
                            4. Let poaching be a hanging offense

Get rid of magazine restrictions (I know this is federal , but anyway). Have county bag limits, like now, but no restrictions on antlers or legal means. Bow, rifle, muzzleloader, shotgun, use what you want. No extra seasons for youth, women, old people etc.

I would like a MUCH shorter gun season.

Oklahoma’s gun runs like 18 days. Mature bucks stand a much better chance making it through a gun season when it is 1/4 the length. Guys can still hunt the full length of the season with a bow or crossbow.

To be honest, having hunted in both states this season, deer seem much less pressured just by crossing the border. It makes for better daylight activity, more visible rutting activity, less need to get within 70-100 yards of bedding to see anything on its feet, calling works better, and just less boring sits overall.

If Oklahoma had the antler regs like the ones Texas has in many counties.... I might not even bother buying the Texas license, I would just drive the 1.5 hours to Oklahoma instead.
