Breakfast Taco vs. Breakfast Burrito

Hispanic from S Texas here (Corpus Christi). To me, it's just breakfast. Lol but I've never heard them being referred to as "burritos." It's either "taquitos" or "breakfast tacos".

So possibly THREE regions with BlackHog's introduction of the taquitos!

It is not limited to geography, it's universal.

If the contents are rolled into a tortilla, it is a burrito. If the contents are placed into a folded tortilla, it is a taco.

The two Mexican cafe's that I get my breakfast at both have them listed as burritos on the menu. If you ask for a breakfast taco you will get some confused looks. Btw, they are both owned and operated by Mexicans.

I was born and raised in Austin and grew up on "tacos" for breakfast. I moved to San Angelo and now I eat "burritos" for breakfast. You cannot find a "breakfast taco" out here.

I grew up in San Angelo and I agree. Diego's Burritos are off the chain, as the kids would say.
