16 days in a tent full of hunting sounds like good fun to me. It have to be worth at least a few hundred bucks each for a couple people.

Yeah I don't think he thought that through before commenting.

OP....I would need more proof than "somebody killed a mediocre mule deer off the place last year" before considering leasing the place. Trail cam pics or even real camera pics would help boost interest.

I have been thinking about your question. Lease it. You better get on it before someone else grabs that spot. I think you will see a deer.

Haha I get what you mean but I never said I was going to lease it. Just had a friend that was considering leasing it out.

I'm betting, no on that one.

I would suggest to your friend that he should look for just 1 guy. If he leases to 3, he should assume all 3 will kill a buck. I don't know of anywhere in the Panhandle that has a high enough mulie population to support even 1 buck killed per 250 ac and maintain anything better than little young bucks. Consider a 10,000 ac ranch. That'd be killing 40 bucks. Hunting in Oldham, you know how conservative of buck harvest is required to maintain top quality. As you know, deer quality tends to influence price.

I suggest $1500. And, no, I'm not interested.

No way I would lease 250ac with other people on it for mulies if it is just an ok area

True. This is over slighty south and west a little ways from Childress not near Oldham County.
