Im 61, 3 wrist surgeries, 3 back surgeries and 3 rounds of epidural shots this year, shoulder surgery and love doing stuff in the heat. Move to a new lease this year and drove most of the t-post, put up feeders cut trees and brush. But my body is breaking down so I guess I gotta slow down before I die. But I ain't dead yet...

Ditto. Everything started hurting. I don't heal as quick, can't get up quick and need coffee to get motivated. It's awful.

              Do tell please..
I'll turn 52 in November.. I'm 70 lbs over weight but heart doc says I'm healthy as a Ox. No HBP, no Pharm meds at all, no high cholesterol, no diabetes, no intestinal issues anymore, but some days I'm just totally exhausted and other days I'm not... Memory sucks, constant ringing in my ear(my fault) and I'm deaf in the other and my 20-10 vision is slipping but other than that I wake up on the right side of the dirt so all is good..
I feel changes a coming though.. Coming fast..

You need to go tobthe doctor. I went tuesday, resukts back yesterday. It aint good, AT ALL! The only good is i can change the end date for me. Ibjust turned 50, doc says no way in hell I'll see 60 with my test results and eoukdnt be shocked at all if i went between now and 55. Serious wake up call.

I can work. I am a very physical, get in it, work outside all day long. This year it has really kicked my arse. Thats why i went to the doctor.

I havent had a physical since i went from one police agency to another in 1993. Go to the doctor!

I'm 53 and work in the heat, its averaging 125 degrees this time of year. I work on a rig and have a air conditioned office, but when something happens where I have to stay outside most of the day the heat can be bad. 20 years ago it didn't bother me much. I just slow down and drink a lot of water and Gatorade. I get a physical every 3 years. Now I am experiencing Gout which I never had as a young man.

                    I hate summer.
Same here. Last year I just couldn't go anymore. Went to my doc for a check up and then to the cardiologist. Went straight from the heart docs office to the ER. 2 stents later, I'm a lot better, but have to pace myself.

I dropper 80lbs in the last year. I feel like I'm in my 30's again. I
Also go on a good vitamin regiment and started working out again. Don't get me wrong there are days I'm tired but for the most part I feel great.

You are 100% correct Mark about the insurance companies. I'm dealing with them about what they will and won't pay for on tests ordered by my cardiologist. I'll end up paying but that's fine I can afford it. Some folks won't pay and ignore issues that need attention. Like Mark said don't let the insurance companies dictate to us and take control over our health.
