I'm 62 and probably started hunting with my Dad at 4 to 5 years old. Guess that makes it about 57 to 58 years.

Killed a few things with a rifle, but I am 99.99% BOWHUNTER. Started bowhunting in 1972 and have continued and will continue until something happens to where I cannot pull a bow back. Still shooting 70#'s. 64 years old and hopefully still going in 20 years. Still a lot of bucket list animals to kill with a bow.

I am 57, started hunting as soon as I could throw a rock. Killed my first rabbit with a bow at 7. Killed my first deer with a bow at 13. Bear old green fiberglass recurve with bear glue on broad heads with bleeder blade inserts , a cedar arrow with feather fletching. It was spike buck, shot over his back out of the tree blind (2x4 wedged between two limbs), he came back sniffed the arrow and I shot high again the second time but I got lucky and hit his spine and dropped him. Learned not to heel my bow hand early. If the rabbit counts been bow hunting for 50 years. Fred Bear was the man!

Got my first Daisy Red Ryder at 6 and my first shotgun at 10 when Dad gave me his 12ga pump for Christmas. I was bow hunting at 10 also with a self bow my grandpa made me. Not sure how old I was when I went on my first coon hunt but I can remember not being able to walk fast enough to keep up so my Dad had to carry me some of the time. I'm 71 now so I guess I have pretty much been a hunter all my life since I was born into it.
