I'm 49 and started hunting when I was 10 but didn't start deer hunting until I was 18. Bow only for me since I started deer hunting.

I am 79 years old. Started with pellet gun when I was about 10. Shotgun a few years later.
Started bowhunting when I was 26. We only had longbows and recurves then. You could buy a real nice recurve for $25.00 a few wood arrows for $1 each and head for Aransas Wildlife Refuge.

I've been gun hunting for 27 years now and I'm 31. Got my first bow at age 6. It was a hand me down fiberglass made by indian and I killed a pile of bullfrogs and squirrels with it before getting a vintage PSE deer hunter when I was 11.

                Gun-27 years
                Bow-25 years

I will be 46 in 3 months, so I am coming up on 34 years of hunting (the legal age was 12 in PA to get your license). I have been bowhunting for about 25 of those I think.

I'll be 32 this month, started hunting as a little kid. Shot my first deer when I was 7 (rifle). Picked up bowhunting around 13-14. Killed my first deer with a bow @14. Been hitting the woods ever since.

I'm 61 years old. I started quail and pheasant hunting regularly with my dad when I was 12. (he did not hunt deer but was an avid upland bird hunter) I moved to Texas at age 25 or so and shot my first deer (rifle) at age 28. Switched to a bow 20 years ago. So, if all forms of hunting are included, I've been hunting for 49 years.

47 years - bow and rifle hunting. Shot archery for 51 years - instinctive only for 37 years before adding fiber pins. Shoot both ways now and still own all of my archery gear since 1970.
