I have hunted brush blinds quite a bit and had better success with them. Each morning I'd break a few of the juniper or cedar limbs, great cover scent. You may need to freshen it up some in the winter if you use cut limbs to brush it in....they will brown eventually.

Sat many hours in a cedar brush blind. I built one up before last season to try and hunt a trail that there was no way I could get into a anywhere to put a stand without blowing deer out. Made a brush blind right along the old 5 strand fence and first sit in it I had deer all around me! Shot a cull at less than 10 yards and he had no idea I was therr

I like using brush blinds for ambush spots along a game trail. Like others have said, the best way I have found is to cut a hole in a big cedar and tie a piece of cattle panel across the front to hold brush. Only downsides- they are generally not good in a rainstorm, they can be snakey, and they take some ongoing maintenance.

They are kinda spoiled I guess
I have a nice box blind as well as pop up, ladders and a few brush blinds set up at ambush points deer cross for bow hunting
They're great but if y'all are sharing them you need to put up something at least as good as the others are doing. Then add a few brush blinds for other spots for yourself

Find you a nice thick cedar, and go cut out the interior of it. Work great. One of my favorite blinds is a brush blind- it's about 9 yards to the feeder so the animals are right in your lap. Talk about exciting. Pic is a few years old, it's even more brushed in now and has two small shooting windows.

Make you a couple out of netwire and grass/brush. Use 2x4 nonclimb or weldwire (5' tall or taller if needed) cut to a length to make a round/circle blind. Ziptie either tall dried grass mattes or cedar/brush limbs to the netwire. Being round you can ziptie it to existing trees/brush or buy the fiberglass electric fence post to help support it when setting it up. I like to back them up in thick clump of brush or cut a hole in a big cedar. You can roll a blind up and carry it in then setup quickly. You can cut shooting windows if it is taller or shoot over the top on shorter wire. Had a buddy make predator calling blinds out of 47" net wire and ziptie grass to it. Roll it and move it from spot to spot when he called. Using the hi-tensile net wire makes it a bit more rigid and it naturally wants to roll up in a circle.
