kd350 I'm interested. I wouldn't mind cutting the cage off my stand and fill

I'll take that bet. I will be putting one on the only stand and fill feeder I have that the hogs can easily reach just to see how well it works at deterring hogs. I think it will keep hogs out but field tests will be necessary just to make sure.

I think your going to have to get under the $40 price point to get a lot of interest.

Interested in this product as well. Not that we have a huge problem with them, but when they do decide to be a hassle, they sure empty a feeder quick....

I tend to agree with this. If a guy just had one feeder, might swallow the $70, but I've always run multiple feeders so it would be cost prohibitive for me.

Thanks for the feedback, as I've said before, this isn't for everyone. I will never get the retail cost down to $40.

In, my cage makes most of the corn go straight down.

That's the main reasons for this new product. We all know that a cage built right will stop any loss of corn but the amount of corn they knock down isn't something most of us like. In testing my new product sample I made, I found that while it will knock down a little more corn then no cage at all, it doesn't knock down near as much as a cage like the one in your picture.

I think $70 is a little steep. That would mean I'd have to lose 500lbs of corns to coons through a cage and an eliminator to get my money back. That would take a long time IMO. I agree with the concept, but I think your price point needs to be in the $35-$45 range. Just my two cents.

Coons have much longer arms then most people think, my cages have to be at least 18 inches from the cage to the spinner plate in order to make sure they can't reach it. I know for a fact at my places I will have more deer at feeders that the corn gets spread out good. Another problem I run into with cages is a lot of my feeders have the solar panel mounted on the control box on the opposite side of the door. The solar panel ends up getting dirty and I have to clean it. Well it's a pain to clean the solar panel with the cage on it because the door for the cage is on the opposite side. It's also nice not to have open up a cage every time you want to test your feeder, change the battery or adjust feed times.

$70 may seam like a lot but if you do the math in the amount of corn you loose to coons per year you will come out way ahead. Coons can easily spin out a 100#s of corn a month. 100# a month is going to cost you around $12 or $144.00 a year. Most people don't realize how much corn they are loosing to coons. I've had a #1000 feeder emptied in a month by coons and that feeder had a Eliminator plate on it. I have 15 feeders with Eliminator plates and have had to put cages on all them that the coons could reach.

With all that said, I fully understand this isn't going to be for everyone.
I had to have cages put on feeders with eliminators and those small academy cages work great if you have a small feeder (great is works most of the time).

there is a market for coon proof spinner without the need for a cage . . . . . and everything i've owned you make is quality.

I'm not going to go into details on this product but it would completely eliminate the need to have a varmint cage around a normal size 12V motor unit. It will be easy to attach to existing 12v units that have the standard size 12v motor boxes. Standard size is approximately 9" X 7" measured across the top of the box. Yes I know some will say the Eliminator Spin plate does that but for me and many others they don't work good enough. The coons at my places have figured them out and not to mention they are always gumming up and sticking in the down position. I have around 15 feeders with Eliminator plates and they are a constant hassle to keep working right and still don't stop the coons unless I have a varmint cage. So basically my question is, would you be willing to pay $70.00 to Permanently stop coons and squirrels from steeling your corn from the spinner plate and it wouldn't reduce the spread of corn like varmint cages do. I have already built a working sample and just trying to get feedback to see if it's worth manufacturing and selling.

if it works as well as you say heck yes
