weird kill positions

I once trapped about a 75 lb sow hog. When I parked the truck about 25 yds from the trap, I noticed something weird on the other side of the trap. Ended up being a 305 lb boar dead asleep, I guess waiting to breed her when/if she got out. He was laying flat stretched out on his side. I snuck around the trap without him ever waking up. I put a 7mm-08 bullet through the top of his head from about 40 yds away. He never budged. I still can't believe how hard he was sleeping, even with the sow making all kinds of commotion while I was sneaking around for a shot.

Had something similar. Big boar was wandering around the trap by the house. I guess he was after the sow caught. Only thing we had other than a pistol was a .22. From the porch, at about 40 yards, my buddy puts one right between the eyes. He locks up and falls over. I didn't know a .22 could kill a pig that big.

Turns out, it can't. We walk back in to the house to put shoes on and as we walk up to the trap, NO PIG. Quite puzzled, we spot him stumbling around like he just left the bar at 2 am. After we killed him, we looked, and there wasn't a bullet hole in his head. I guess he was just knocked out cold.

Shot this coyote right between the hind quarters as he was running directly away from me with a .257 STW. This is the position i found him in.

When I was 12 I was taking a nature dump and spotted a squirrel sprawled on a Cypress limb sleeping. Shot him from the squat position with my pants down- probably my weirdest kill position.
