Shot a coyote right between the eyes and it fell and seemingly disappeared. He was standing in front of a huge badger hole when I shot him and he did a nose dive right in it. Talk about confusing when I saw him disappear through the scope. That's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

Javelina square in the head looking at me. Was hunting the. Chap for deer in a brush pile on the ground and really didn't want javelina but this thing wouldn't get off my corn pile. Threw stuff at it, made noises etc. Stepped out to run it off and it didn't. Stood it's ground and I shot it at around 15 yards. Had a euro done. Didn't get a pass through. Broadhead tip stuck half in and half out of the back of it's skull with the arrow broken off almost even with skull at entry point when he fell. It's a pretty cool mount and get comments on it regularly
I've shot a few "dead pigs"deer hunting as in watch them fall quit moving for a good 3-5 minutes. Glass senderos and look back 10 minutes later down the one he was on and the dang thing isn't there anymore.Last edited by SCREAMINREELS; 06-08-2017, 10:28 AM.

Early evening and I had just shot a doe with my bow and had it with me when I found her piled up a short distance away. Left her there and went about 50 yards away to take a leak in the pond, so not to spread my urine scent in my hunting area. Its hot and I'm in shorts and flip flops taking a leak with bow in hand. Suddenly pigs! They are on the opposite bank. I'm still peeing. Lift and the bow up and knock an arrow as the task (no longer in hand) finishes and I anchor. Let the arrow fly with a few dribbles still coming out with out the usual shake and hammer a sow. That's my unique kill position so far.

Tyler's first bow kill was a spike in East Texas. As he released, the buck moved/turned or ducked, and the arrow hit him square in the back of the head. Another no track job. The Game Warden walked into camp as we were cleaning it and Tyler told the story. The GW laughed and told him he never had to worry about him lying to him.

I was rifle hunting for deer a few years ago on our WRP land. We also have problems with hogs just like everyone else and I had trail camera pics of a group coming in to feed right at dark. Sure enough, as it got dark the deer spooked and I could see two hogs walking down the road at 300 yards. By the time they made it to my corn at 150 yards it was pretty dark but I could see the one hog through my scope cause she was black and white.......the white on her was glowing at that time of evening. I put the crosshairs on her and pulled the trigger. The muzzle flash blinded me. I climbed out of the stand and walked down to look for blood and heard a bunch of squealing. I had shot a pregnant sow and hit her a little back and she exploded. She was laying just off the road with 4 baby pigs scattered around her. Terrible sight.

My first archery deer. Opening morning I'm in a tripod buried in some cedars. Doe comes in before shooting light and meanders around till the feeder goes off. I had dropped my release in my truck but had only recently started shooting a release so fingers was no problem. Drew a couple times but couldn't see the pins. Finally I can see, she's quartering away eating with her head down so I aim for the off shoulder and let it fly. She ducked hard, her head came up. The broad head sliced the hair down her back she dropped so low. But as her head came up the arrow hit her through the neck dropping her in her tracks and leaving a nasty blood puddle.

I once trapped about a 75 lb sow hog. When I parked the truck about 25 yds from the trap, I noticed something weird on the other side of the trap. Ended up being a 305 lb boar dead asleep, I guess waiting to breed her when/if she got out. He was laying flat stretched out on his side. I snuck around the trap without him ever waking up. I put a 7mm-08 bullet through the top of his head from about 40 yds away. He never budged. I still can't believe how hard he was sleeping, even with the sow making all kinds of commotion while I was sneaking around for a shot.Last edited by 44mAG; 06-08-2017, 12:09 PM.

Another fun one...was sitting with a friend's daughter on a gun hunt. We were after a particular one sided spike. Deer came in, she put her book down and shot. That deer ran about 20 yds, in a dash, right into a tree....it was funny to watch. She picked her book up and went right back to reading.

When I was 7 or 8, dad and I were going down the driveway on the way to school. A doe jumped the fence and a nice buck jumped over behind her about 150 yards in front of us. Dad got his rifle out the window but by the time he got squared up the buck was breeding the doe. Took the shot and there he fell dead in the driveway!
