Why does everyone assume I'm a guy?

I buy and sell a lot of stuff in the classifieds and my posts about dogs generate a lot of PMs with training and behavior-related questions.
It's really surprising that the people I PM or text almost always assume I'm a guy...addressing me as bud, man, or bro. It happens all the time.
A couple times I've even met TBHers face to face to do a classifieds hand-off and they were expecting a guy.

I've been on TBH for 15 years. If that weren't enough, the profile pictures should be a dead giveaway.
