Charlie kick the felon off the team. He applied the max penalty that he has the ability to do to hold the felon accountable for his crime. The judge was wrong to say something.

I bet the judge has given felons deferred adjudication in the past. If so, she should not throw stones...

If I were him I'd be calling out the judge. It's her job to run her court room, not lecture the coach on something she knows nothing about (coaching and running a college football program)
