I ask my doctor about it when this subject came up on here some time back, and he STRONGLY advised against any testosterone therapy and said the risk of cancer growth was too high.

Help from you older guys, Low T
I would do A LOT of thinking and research about this before you do it. There are definitely some down sides to it. There was just some research done in a large group of men that showed there was an increase in cardiovascular risk with testosterone injections. If you exercise regularly you can naturally increase test levels with out the associated risk.

There's risks of being fat too. Pick your poison.

What about eating better or trying to lose weight and not just taking easier way out and giving shots?

If you don't do the above, I would try this before injections. Alot of risks

I'll be 61 yrs. old in a couple of weeks, and started using the testosterone gel (T-Gel) a few years ago due to osteoporosis. That is the only reason why I use any type of testosterone supplement. I already have problems with arthritis, spinal stenosis, degenerative joint disease, etc. I fell from a bicycle a few years back and fractured my right radius (upper bone in your forearm). Luckily, the fracture was stable, non-displaced, and not painful, but the fracture would not heal despite a bone growth stimulator. Lab work revealed a very low testosterone level. Shortly after beginning testosterone gel, the fracture finally healed. I agree with what others have suggested: do your research, and consult a physician on this.
Good luck,
Dave
