Test is an anabolic growth hormone. It stimulates certain cells to grow/multiply. If you have prostate cancer cells it will encourage the cancer cells to grow faster than they normally would. If you have no cancer cells there is no worry about that, your Dr. should test your PSA levels and continue to monitor them.

The gel did not work for me. Been doing weekly shots for about a year and a half. It took awhile to find the correct amount, but finally settled in at 0.4 cc weekly. My Dr recommended doing the shots first to determine the level that was needed before considering the pellets because you could only adjust those every 3 or 4 months. Started out with the Dr giving the shots and switched to my wife giving me the shots now. It made a big difference in energy levels and being able to make it through the day without being extremely fatigued. I check with my cardiologist before even starting - his opinion was that the better studies that were out indicated the benefits out weighed the risks and he recommended it.

In 53 years I've learned one thing, Doctors and scientist both have changed there minds a lot, on many things in my 53 years, on what they think is good or not good for you. Talk with your wife if she and you are happy and your weight is not bad. Might leave well enough alone. Doctors have bills to pay too and need your money...just saying.

I take weekly shots at home (IMHO the correct frequency to avoid peaks and valleys). I also notice a big change in energy.

Recently I went without for about 6m (partially me being cheap and partially as a test to see if I really needed it.) At my last physical, I recognized and complained again about fatigue and was retested confirming a count down close to 100. Now that I have been back on for 3m, I really do notice the difference.

If I had a crystal ball that told me I could live to be 75 with the T pellets and that I could make it to 80 without, I would take the pellets.

I have been doing the pellets a couple of years now and enjoy the boost in performance they give me.

It is not all about how many days you can live but what you can do during those days that matters to me.

Thanks for all the input guys, I have been fighting this for awhile now, trying to decide to just keep doing what I'm doing and not do shots, I do have prostate trouble, no cancer, so this is a concern, just been feeling tired and no energy lately, started on a diet today and trying to work out some daily, just had a stress test 3 months ago and all was ok, its got nothing to do with the bedroom cause my wife is in glory with the good Lord above so that's not the problem, it just stinks that all the stuff you use to do and could do all day had no affect, but when you hit that 60+ things change, thanks again and

              God Bless
