Spring Break homework rant...
Nothing to update as of yet. An email was sent to the teacher with no reply. Since the email was sent, assigned homework during class and emailed homework seemed to be more organized and not sent at 7pm. I've been out of town since Sunday and will be out of town for the next 3 weeks, the kids are taking their STAAR tests this week and Shannon is having surgery this next week. This issue won't be brushed under the rug I promise you. A follow up email will be sent the beginning of next week to ask about everyone's zero (I'm willing to go to bat for all the kids). I still don't think Knothead was lying about the homework assignment due to the fact I saw more than one email that would come in after 7pm for homework as stated in one of my previous replies.
I'll post up on this when I have something more to post

Having just graduated about 3-4 years ago from college, I'd light a fire under them and take it to the next person up the ladder (politely). There's an intangible timeframe where if an issue goes unaddressed it gets swept under the rug or outright ignored. If its recent, administration will be able to verify/act easier than say a month or so later when they're just occupied with STAAR results.
I was lucky enough that I really didn't have to try hard in school to get A's so long as I did the work. Most of school is memorization or in terms of msth, judt learning the rules of how it works (the why). School is switching towards a style of teaching a number of subjects so that they can say oh we cover A-Z but the students never learn why A-Z are functional rules. Not to mention all the filler time to get your liberal propoganda in. Really not looking forward to the state of schools when my sons ready..
