I’m going to open this old thread. I need to buy five toilets in the next few days for a new house. Thanks to Rick Perry toilets sold in Texas have a maximum gallons per flush of 1.28. Reading the reviews of the water conserving toilets says they frequently leave skid marks. To those that have the water conserving toilets is this really an issue.

Also, the recommendation in here is for the 1.6 g/flush models. Is there some way to get those in Texas?

Good ol’ Rick probably was worried someone would drown a stray cat in a toilet if it had too many gallons in it.

Not when her feet dangle while she's sitting on it... She's 4' 10"

In all my years on this earth I have never heard of waxing the inside of the toilet bowl. However I can see how this makes sense. Do you have to cut the water off and dry the bowl first or what?

I have 2 of the american standard champion series bought at home depot. They flush like commercial models. 2 to 3 seconds between handle push and empty bowl. Never have to flush twice. Non-standard components, 4" valve and flapper in the tank. $30 for repair kit for flush components (I had one for 4 years in my old house, had to repair flush valve once).

Forgot to add, if you are sitting on it when you flush, the air sucks right in around the seat and your legs. Kinda like an air dry.
