    Metal Building Quote

Got my quote back today. Here is the thread to the project thus far.

    PDF of Buildings:
    Hillis house-3D VIEW 1.pdf
    Hillis house-ELEVATIONS.pdf
    Hillis house-FLOOR PLAN.pdf

    2100 Sq Ft Living area
    3400 Sq ft Under roof
    225 Sq Ft Front Porch(9x25)
300 Sq Ft Back Porch (12x25)

So a total of 3925 Sw ft of concrete and 3400 Sq Ft of metal building. The porches are covered.

    $136000

    Does not include insulation

Does include Foundation, pre-engineered building, all exterior doors and windows, and veneer austin limestone wainscoat.

What do you think? I think it seems a bit high from the research I have done. This is on the coast and must be windstorm certified.

What I can tell you is that you could get a manufactured home with a 12 yr warranty that's decked out and the same sq ft for around the same price. And be better insulated than any home you have built. But if this is the style home you want I am not familiar with them.

My concern is that manufactured homes, from my experience, seem to depreciate over time. Don't want that in a home.

Does a manufactured home depreciate like a mobile home?

No insulation at all. We were going to discuss the white roll insulation and spray insulation at another day, so he did not include it in the price. This is not a finished out price. Only building and concrete.

That's pretty nice. Is it set on a slab or is it pier and beam? The ones I have seem look like a mobile home.

i think it sounds fair. You might could do better, but I know you could do worse.

They do depreciate over time. Unfortunately.

I retract my previous statement then... that's too high. I thought it was finished

Nope. This is just the metal building and concrete.

Sorry I just read that last post. I say too high. I was reading a discussion where guys were saying 50 a foot finished.

Have you priced just the building alone? I'm a salesman for mueller in Rosenberg, I couldn't quote you on the concrete, but I can the metal building portion. Your PDF isn't showing up on my phone but you can email me the pdfs and any plans you have to Stephen.simmons@muellerinc.com

                              Thanks
