That would be good for me on larger buildings, but smaller ones wouldn't be worth it to me. Example: a 30x40x12 insulated would pay $4200. A 40x80 would fetch $11,200. After labor and equipment, the smaller building just wouldn't be worth it. The thing about metal buildings is (normally) there are still 2 end walls, 4 corners and two peaks to deal with, whether it be a 20x20 or a 100x100, additional main frames and bays are the easy part.

Ditto on the bull! I charge $4.50 a foot for erection of a standard building. That is actually a little less than the going rate in my area. I find I can pay for my equipment and my crew with a little left for me at the end with that price. I know of some crews in Austin charging up to $7 a foot for a normal building. My normal price for concrete around here is 4.50 - $5 a foot for 4" slab depending on the area and what my concrete costs are in that area. A typical building will cost $18 a foot for building, slab, erection here in Central TX. Will go up depending on your options (insulation, doors, gutters / downspouts...... etc)

Good to know. I actually started my company in the Austin area in 1983. Erection was going for about $1.00-$1.50sf. I was just trying to beat out a living.

Yes, but what sq ft are you using? Sq Ft of the metal building, or sq ft of all concrete slab?
