    That's the guy.
I was in the truck when he gave my buddy a ticket for not stopping long enough before making a right on red
He was very mechanical and cold
    Just like i like em
Hurry up give me my ticket and let me go
Our lawyer buddies said that guy is #1 ticket producer in HPD and you can't win against him
Just pay some fleabag law firm the $50 or whatever they ask when they send you something in the mail.

Tickets lawyers are bidding for large scale business (large number of clients they can set for trial on the same day), pushing all the court dates up as much as possible, in the hopes the officers fail to show for court and hoping for a quick dismissal.

Many many years ago, a top ticket lawyer in Dallas showed up to court. He showed up with like 25-30 clients who had paid his fee. He came in to find me, and one DPD motor officer there on our subpoenas. He went back to his group and read a list of names, except for the 2 people who we were there for. He told the others to go home because their cases were dismissed and the 2 others to stay and get ready for trial.

Both were found guilty and paid a few hundred extra in court fees if I remember correctly.

I hope your guy doesn't show, but most agencies will issue discipline to Officers who fail to answer a subpoena these days. Since it sounds like HPD wrote you, you might have a chance he wont show, who knows...big department.

Or you can get a local fire department ball cap and keep it on the dash

Last time I received a ticket from HPD, I went online and paid it the next day. Never even had to enter a plea or go to court. It never showed up on my record. I have a CDL, so was worried about the same thing.

Had a city attorney tell me one time, just to fight it myself. If the cop doesn't show, it gets dropped. If he does and your found guilty, just file a appeal with the county appeals court. No appeals court is ever going to hear a traffic ticket and it gets thrown out at that level. Haven't ever tried it. Was going to, but when my trail date arrived, the judge just told me to give him a $100 and he tore the ticket up.

Kinda the issue we have in America today.. The ticket was probably valid and possibly deserved. The money for the citation and court cost will be far less than than the day off work and the cost of the attorney but thanks to how insurance companies work and how the points on a CDL work you feel its beneficial. Insurance in general determines how we act these days.

You can go in and get deferred on your own. A lawyer is gonna take your money and get you the same deal.

Wouldn't you sleep better at night just paying the ticket and pleading guilty? I wouldn't but you might.

I used to keep count on passport 8500 and valentine 1's i use to catch and they would all say the same thing , but but I have a valentine 1 or whatever brand. I would say yes did it go off they would say yes and I would say you slowed down and I turned my antenna off til I visually saw u passing all the other traffic at which point I turned them back on and your valentine 1 lit up but it was too late you were caught, most times I gave them a warning cause they couldn't believe they were caught. On holidays rush hour or when I wanted traffic to slow down I left the antennas on front and back so all radar detectors would go off and drivers felt they were getting over cause they had a radar detector . Even stopped a guy with a jammer one day but that's another story.

I'm sure you had some good tricks for catching those guys. We use to sit on the side of I-10 and just flick on the radar and laugh at all the tail light coming on. Sheriff would not let us write tickets, but we stopped speeders looking for other things going on.
