Since we are gonna complain. Why do people around me think they need to target shoot all the dang time? I mean you pull the trigger it goes boom and then you pull the trigger and it goes boom again. Why do you need to shoot 200 times to figure out it's gonna go boom every time you pull the trigger? Once you are zeroed in do you need to fire the other 190 shots? So since we are griping what's the point of that? Guess cause they can!

I absolutely love love things that go bang but fireworks are not my thing and never had any interest in them. It's sounds like a war zone outside, but it only happens couple times a year and I can live with that. To each there own.

We love doing fireworks at our place. Doesn't phase the horses but we start small then the big booms !

My 6 month old is sleeping through it. My 4yo has woken up twice. Fortunately she goes back to sleep more easily.

It was getting pretty bad around here this evening. But might have been live gun fire mixed in too. But certainly not as bad as when I lived in SE Ft. Worth. Live gunfire every night during the warmer months, and New Years Eve..

It sounded like some idiot was cutting loose with an AR close to us. Too many rounds in a row to be a hand gun and didn't sound like a shotgun. I don't think they realize what goes up gotta come down.

I live in the middle of town and they were going off all around me lastnight as soon as I laid down. Then about the time I was falling asleep someone dumped a clip in their pistol a couple streets over! The fireworks were getting kinda annoying but I think it's because I was having to go to bed so I could go to work this morning so I was just jealous more than anything haha

Fireworks - for 3 or 4 nights straight, twice a year. It's 10:30 and people that live around me are now only getting started - it will go until at least 2:00am. Not kids, mind you but adults. I just don't see the attraction. "So what is it you like about shooting fireworks?" "Well it's really cool cause you light em' and they fly way up in the air and go BOOM and stuff. Then you light another one and it flies up in the air and it goes BOOM too!" Then you light another one and IT goes BOOM! Its like magic or sumpin' ! Here, let me show you-if I light this this it will fly up in the air and go BOOM!"
It's like a caveman who finds a flashlight and is so fascinated they just sit there flicking it on and off for hours.
