I find some of these responses a bit amusing. I did not say fireworks should be banned or people should not shoot fireworks - I just said I don't like them disturbing my peace and quiet. That simple statement suddenly puts me in the same category with people who hate guns and meat? Having a little problem following that logic...
I'm sure they will be blasting away again tonight but thankfully I will be sipping on a glass of bourbon, enjoying nothing but the sounds of nature by a campfire at the lease.

Glad to see you got a level head my friend. Course, it in your nature too. And that's what I like about ya.
And the lease is a great place to be anytime . Happy New Year. And may your home be Blessed many times over this new year.

It happens inside the city limits too, bud. One of my dogs freaks out pretty bad and tries to get out of the yard so we have to be sure to bring him in before it starts. It's amazing how people don't care that it's illegal inside the city limits. Oh well, at least it's only a couple of times a year

The people around us spend an insane amount of money on fireworks. They are very respectful and wait to start popping fireworks until after the nightly news.
Last night they went until around 2:00 am, all's quiet now but I'm betting they start shortly!
