The one thing I don't like about living outside the city limits.

Fireworks - for 3 or 4 nights straight, twice a year. It's 10:30 and people that live around me are now only getting started - it will go until at least 2:00am. Not kids, mind you but adults. I just don't see the attraction. "So what is it you like about shooting fireworks?" "Well it's really cool cause you light em' and they fly way up in the air and go BOOM and stuff. Then you light another one and it flies up in the air and it goes BOOM too!" Then you light another one and IT goes BOOM! Its like magic or sumpin' ! Here, let me show you-if I light this this it will fly up in the air and go BOOM!"
It's like a caveman who finds a flashlight and is so fascinated they just sit there flicking it on and off for hours.

Well since moving to SE texas from San Antonio I quickly realized nobody gives a crap about the laws. I live in the city and it has been going on for days already! I am fine with tonight but 3-4 nights of this crap is enough...sux getting old and grumpy.

I'm 5 miles north of the border from rio grande city & waiting to take cover from the full auto gunfire to commence in about 45mins...all is calm around the campfire at the moment, but it ain't gonna last long.

I'm sure it's all registered weapons on both sides of the river...ha!!

              I haven't either, recently [emoji6],
But I do like the pretty colors and booms. The bigger the better.

We sit on top of our house and just watch everyone shoot them. It doesn't matter everyone in the City sends them up as well.

I found a spent bullet on the floor of boat after one new years. Didn't hurt the boat but poke a small hole in the canvas cover.

I don't think you'll need to fill out an application to the GOF club. With your gray hair and attitude you're automatically qualified.

Yes they do it here for multiple nights before and after. Me and the wife don't care for it but deal with it. Cheers Happy New Years everyone.

You may be seeing them from my neighborhood. They've been going strong since dark. The one that shocks me is my neighbors. They don't have kids but probably spend $1000 on them. I think his wife doesn't even come out to watch. I think he pops them himself. I enjoy the show but my dog not as much.
