This fits my situation perfectly. Whether the extra cost is worth it could well depend on how likely you are to be repairing or destroying it.

I've been working and farming with tractors for over 50 years without a cab and I sure would like to have one now. It just isn't practical for me.

Cans are bad for first time tractor owners. You need to be able to hear and smell.

If you're going to spend hours a day on it I can see a benefit. It's way too much money for what you get.

Resale value isn't great either. Many people would rather have more power than a cab for a utility tractor.

I personally would not own another cab less tractor.

If you are constantly shredding an area for it to look nice... look nicer if you trim your trees, which you will probably have to do even with a cabless tractor. In all reality cabless tractors have a roll bar..same height as the cab majority of the time.

If you do get one with a cab, have them tint the windows.

You need more HP. Minimum of 50 in my opinion. I recommend a brush grapple too. Get the cab if you can afford it.

Definitely tint the windows. It will make a huge difference. I had them done on my big tractor. Makes it so much better during the summer when mowing in the bottom.

I use 40 horse cab less on my place and doesn't phase me, I also have some large pecan and oaks to go under that cab wouldn't allow me to do. Only down side is dust and grass get's on top of my beer can, quick little blow and then wash the small remnants down...

Look into LS tractors. Very well built and I would skip the cab. Shredding is not that dusty.

I have had both....to me it is a matter of safety and comfort. This is a little off subject but be sure to get one with a loader, you will be amazed at how often you will use it.

Mine is a LS, a lot of bang for the buck and love it so far. Heavier than most comparable tractors and 2 rear remotes standard. I like shuttle shift for my purposes, hydro would have been easier for the wife but oh well......

It is very dusty where I am. I bought a Kubota RTV with full cab - ac and heat - it spoiled me. I am looking at a Kubota.

I dont need the extra horsepower - a 30-40 is plenty of power for what I will use it for. I also plan on a front end loader - already have a shredder
thanks for all the advice - I will mostly be in the open so I am leaning towards a cab

I've got a Kubota mx4700 4wd. I have about 25 acres here at the house that I maintain. I know that's not many acres, but my next tractor will have a cab lord willing. Shredding in the summer and putting out hay in the winter would be much nicer from a cab.

Look into Mahindra. I'm planning on going that route. They invested 25 million dollars in R&D on their mCRD technology. Go DEF fluid or high heat regens to deal with.

Heavy tractors for lifting capability. Just took over as the #2 tractor company in the US. Probably will be #1 within a few years at the rate they're taking on the market
