Mine did that a while back. I called a locksmith, and they told me that they charge a few hundred dollars to drill one out and replace the lock. But they told me that the lock had probably shifted inside, and if I could get it open then it would just be $100 for them to come out and reset it. They said that it may have shifted 1, 2, 3, or 4 numbers off one way or the other. So try going up 1 on all the numbers. If that doesn't work, try down 1 on all of them. If that doesn't work try up 2, then down 2, etc... I got mine open on either up or down 2.

Boom! Winner winner chicken dinner.....I also hit above the lock with my rubber hammer when shaking it and I heard it drop. She's open now.

Thanks fellas for all the advice and offers and banter...now I gotta break it open and graphite it again.

it still won't open without beating it and shaking it on the last number back to zero .... even after adding the graphite...maybe time for a new lock. I can at least get it open though.

I have been doing this for so long with my safe I forgot I had any issue a couple years after I bought it. Canon told me to do this very thing and it worked. I've been doing it so long that that number is now part of the new combo.

The problem I had with mine came after a few months of needing to rattle the handle back and forth a bunch every time.
