Mine did that a while back. I called a locksmith, and they told me that they charge a few hundred dollars to drill one out and replace the lock. But they told me that the lock had probably shifted inside, and if I could get it open then it would just be $100 for them to come out and reset it. They said that it may have shifted 1, 2, 3, or 4 numbers off one way or the other. So try going up 1 on all the numbers. If that doesn't work, try down 1 on all of them. If that doesn't work try up 2, then down 2, etc... I got mine open on either up or down 2.

Only problem I ever had with a mechanical combo was resolved by entering combo and on last number chingalaying the handle back and forth lightly 20-30 times and shazam she opened. Good luck. Have had nightmares with keypads but not mechanicals.

here is the trick for you. on a RLR combo- run the first number dead on to set the mechanism, on the second number run it to 1/2 to 1 number past what it you should be ( ie if the 2nd number is 56, run it to almost 55) then run the third number to the R run dead on. then back to the opener #

I have been doing this for so long with my safe I forgot I had any issue a couple years after I bought it. Canon told me to do this very thing and it worked. I've been doing it so long that that number is now part of the new combo.
