What do you expect from a broadhead?

A dead animal is all I expect.

This was the first animal I shot with Rage it hit something hard along the way it bent the insert and cracked the arrow. Most broadheads would have had some kind of damage. Sure didn't need a tracking dog!

I want one that flys well and has a strong ferrule. A ferrule bending in my opinion will be the reason a head fails. That's the first thing hitting the bone and is where all the energy is transferred. I don't care if blades bend or break. In fact a blade bending or breaking may let the arrow penetrate enough to go from wounding an animal to killing one.

It seems like the blades on the Rage's bend 50% of the time. Replacement blades are around $20 for 6 blades. The ferrule on the Hypodermic is great, have yet to have one bend. It's a great broadhead.

I expect mine to fly strait and cut both sides of the animals skin!
