    I'd vote for it.

Been there , done that. They have kicked my tail for many years.
In the what it's worth category
        - keep your head up, your are chasing a worthy advisory, not just any critter
        - for any deer to reach maturity in fragmented acreage, its knows how to avoid hunters and has seen many of its brothers die at feeders.... lessons it won't forget.
        - he hides in places you don't expect or can't approach undetected. Hunt less suspecting spots. I found one hiding in a fairly small rose hedge bush in a ditch in a hay meadow
        - think new ideas, different trails you saw in the spring, look upstream of where the does come in etc., hunt mid day, walk the perimeter occasionally , put away the trail cams, hunt
        a track, etc
        - take a newbie occasionally to bring back the excitement
        - break throughs happen only when you change... certain you have, just keep trying new ideas.
        - enjoy yourself your solving a complicated puzzle
        - good luck, he will walk by
