Vacuum Sealer Question

Man..I want to buy a vacuum sealer..and a quality one..but 800 bucks if hard to swallow.

My first one lasted 8 years and the second didn't work out of the package. I know it happens, but it was just the last straw for me. I've seen my friends have plenty problems with foodsavers over the years and I got tired of always having to wait on it to cool down. I am hoping one of these better units will cool down faster and make the whole process go much faster. If I could start packaging and not stop until i'm done, that would be awesome.

I run two FoodSaver when I am putting away meat. One is sealing the next bag while I am sealing a package. Avoids the overheating issue and waiting for it to cool.

No doubt about it. I had a hard time with it too. But I looked at it as an investment for years to come. Now I just have to wait and see if it was worth it. Hopefully it will stand the test of time and I will be completely satisfied with it if it does.

I got my VacMaster Pro380 in, and all seems fine so far. I have only sealed a few chip bags, and tried my foodsaver bags to make sure they would work also. It seems to pull a good vacuum and get all the air out. I have a couple backstraps I need to do today or tomorrow, so I'll try to report after i do them. Overall, I'm initally very pleased.

I am looking into the Weston 2300 Stainless model for 380 shipped

I got the Weston Pro 2300 in this weekend and tried it out and to say im let down is an understatement. Didnt pull a vacuum worth a darn. Am I missing something? I held pressure down until it started pulling a vacuum them released the handle as the instructions stated. For $350 I really didnt expect to get a 'bad' vacuum sealer...

Found it for $343 shipped with a $30 off coupon. SO it was cheaper then amazon

The bags/rolls are so much cheaper on Amazon. My TBH buddy has the Weston 2300 and loves it. Not a single complaint

My Foodsaver is still going after 8 seasons-I read about an O-ring trick.Seemed to revive my cheap sealer. I remove the O ring's and keep them in a little bag with food grade silicone lubricant after use. If it dies I'm Weston bound.
