If that is Coke or Concho county that deer is older than 3.5... He's at least 4.5 from my experience hunting in that area..

I agree 100%. The last pic made him look older. He's 4 1/2 at the most. Let him breed another year or two.

to me, It really depends on where you hunt and the pressure put on the animals.
if he's your biggest but the ranch has more to offer than its a good pass. If he is considered big for your area then I would have stuck him. Nice buck either way.
Good Luck
I passed this buck at our west Texas ranch, but no way at our central Texas place.

I think you passed on a 4-5yr old mature buck. If you are looking to let them get to 6-8 then good decision but I don't see a 3yr old. He would of been corn dogged on our place. Would love to see how old you guys allow him to get. Is he off the hit list or can one of the other hunters take him home? Good luck.

4.5 and 130s. When he had is leg stretched out and was licking/itching I would have sent one through the boiler room!
I do think with another year or 2 he will gain a few inches. G4 should develop and with the double split eye guards should be some neat character. Good pass and can't wait to see next year's pics.
