I don't, but know some people that do.
I missed the part where you said it happened in the morning.
I read it as it happened two evenings in a row.

You could go talk to them and ask them. Still think it's some sort of cattle call.

We dont. With all the grass we have, a few mineral/salt blocks is all we do. Mommas are fat and healthy.

            FTR, blocks are supplements.

We put our blocks, tubs, etc as well.
We feed cubes 2-3 times per week just to keep them used to coming up to pens.
It makes it much easier when it selling time.
We don't tolerate any cattle that we have to chase down to pen.

I've watched other operations that use horses, dogs, and/or 4-wheelers.
It's a circus when they try to pen their cattle.

It is his property, he can do as he wishes and you will get over it.

That is true, but I said that based on context from this post, that you dont have to call cattle in and feed them during good range conditions. They can be pretty self sustaining with just blocks. Im digressing however. OP, hope you get that figured out!

I was sitting in a stand about 300 yards from an oil site where they were drilling a well with deer all out in front of me eating corn. They flared the rig off and it sounded like the shuttle was taking off. Flames looked like they were shooting 100' in the air. Deer looked up at first then went right back to eating corn.

IMHO a lot of the guys are missing the point of this thread......Regardless of what the neighbor is doing (or if it's even effecting the deer), if their intent is to knowingly impair your ability to hunt they are breaking the law. My suggestion is to simply ask the neighbor if they might know what the source of the noise is and based on their response go from their, ie. involving the law.

And because he doesnt feed them during times of excellent range conditions is solely the cause for this? Lots of factors, including breed, play into this. Ours eat out of our hand in the winter. Keep them in the pens for a few months when they are young to gentle them, and hardly ever have problems

How'd this go from help me find the noise to how/when to feed cattle? LOL.

                            Exactly Moose, thank you.

I've asked my neighbor that I'm nearly 100% sure the noise is coming from what it is. I don't think they'd do something intentionally like this but he's kindof playing dumb to the noise. But he is a tcu fan so! My other neighbor where it is possibly coming from is building a winery I just found out. He may have something going off but he also hunts.

Cory, I have no idea what the noise is but don't ever question our right to derail a perfectly good thread
