Just how by yourself would you be on 50 acres surrounded by larger neighbors?. I'm by myself more on 2400 acres with 7 other hunters than that now.
When I mean by myself, I mean nobody else that hunts the same place as me. Not that I hate people or socializing, I just enjoy hunting by myself, or maybe one other person at the most. I socialize all week long. When it's time to hunt, it's just time to hunt.
Sounds like a nice place. I hope you find someone to lease it. I would chit myself if a 150+ walked out In front of me.

Thank you. The place is awesome. I will know tomm if I am going to lease it. Im not going to post pics. If I decide to lease it I will show whoever comes to look at it. Just gonna have to take my word for it.

You'll prob see and hear plenty of folks while you sit in the middle of the 50 acres if the other places lease to hunters
This thread scares the hell out of me... I am back looking for a lease and to think that 4k for 50 acres is possibly the new normal, is not encouraging at all.
Its all what you want. People pay more than 4000.00 dollars for weekend package hunt for the same class of deer. Some one may be happy to have the 50 acres if they could kill the quality off deer he is advertising. May be great for a father and young son. Should not be so quick to judge on size of deer anyone interested should just make sure there is proof.
I don't usually have much to say, but here's my thoughts...
First, considering the upward trend of lease prices, it's probably a deal to consider. I haven't looked it up, but what is the deer bag limit for that County? Or, what is allowed to be harvested by the land owner/manager?
Second, and this is just my opinion, but if folks would get on board with refusing to pay such ridiculous lease prices, lots more folks would be able to afford to put meat in the freezer. Not all, but many people have lost sight of the many pleasures of hunting and are focused on "I need to make $X amount of extra money this year to be able to hunt that monster buck".
I know some will agree and some will bash.
It's just my thoughts and opinion...
