    Input on Ozonics

Looking for input from anyone that has field experience with using a Ozonics unit. I'm looking at buying one and want real input before I drop the $$$. Thanks

You might do a search..lots of discussion on here about them. I've had real success with mine...

Ozone generators are controversial. Some say they're unhealthy to breathe in. If I was you i would google and see for yourself.

I'm not convinced it will hurt anyone in moderation, but some feel otherwise.

You might die younger but you will kill more deer!

I bought mine a few years ago and won't hunt without it. I only have a few stands at my place and can't always hunt the right wind and I feel like the ozonics really makes a difference.

I debated getting one for a while and finally gave in and got the HR 300. Haven't tried it out yet though. Hoping to put it to the test next weekend.

East Texas deer are attracted to it! Or it may be luck that I see deer almost every sit with ozonics rather than seeing nothing before I bought it!

I am usually skeptical of new "hunting technology - thus it took me a few years to buy an Ozonics. After 3 seasons of using one I am a believer. The only way it would be potentially dangerous is if you use it improperly. When used according to the instructions it is a big help. Nothing is perfect of course but when used right it will improve your odds.

This is where it's at its best. My primary bow blind is a hot spot and will see deer come in from 2 or 3 directions many time on the same sit. You can't control that so all I can do is not hunt when the feeder is directly down wind.

I've had deer and hogs within feet of my blind and not spook. The deer offen stage about 15-20 yards down wind before hopping into the pen. Without ozonics they'd get nervous and move on.

Having said that, I haven't had as much luck from a tree stand or brush blind. I don't think it puts out enough volume of ozone for that. But when all but a shooting window is closed on a box or tent blind it saturates anything leaving that blind.

Put it in a closet or container that holds your clothes and overnight it will de-scent them. No more need for scent sprays. In a ground blind it will kill your scent if the wind is not right. Funny how I can smell the ozone but deer pay no attention to it.

I don't have one and I'm skeptical right now about it having never played with one, but this ^^^^ is actually more of a draw to the product for me than it being in the stand with me.

I had been debating/wanting to try it for a long time. The tests I have read about with trained dogs make me think it is worth it (plus all the positive reviews). Cabelas having the 200 on sale for $299 and free shipping was more than I can stand. Mine will be here on the 28, just in time.

I know there are directions on how/where to place it but how much does that really matter? Most of my hunting will be in a tin box blind. The only shelf I have is behind me with no window. Will that work or would it be better to try to prop it in a window. In a tree stand, would it work to just put it under you at your feet?

That would work or you could by a home use 110 VAC unit.

If you can find a Log 6 Ozone generator, it was made specifically for this purpose. It has a 30 minute timer and a small hose that can be ran into a suit case or plastic tote. I bought mine from On Target Archery a few years ago.
