Does did the same thing... 30 minutes later a big ol' boar I was after started into the feeder. The instant he crossed the leading edge of my down wind direction he snorted and took off wide open... THAT'S when I officially gave up trying to fool a hog's nose... I'm convinced it can't be done! I had saturated the DB blind in dead downwind spray, same for my clothes/boots bow, all my gear. Clothes were washed in scent free soap then vacuum-sealed until I put them on after getting out of the truck to walk to the stand... Oh yea, I did go buy the Ozonics machine (well my bride did, for Christmas present), and If you do ALL your other usual scent elimination tactics right, that Ozonics will fool almost any whitetailed deer long enough for you to kill him/her with archery equipment if you want to... Eventually if they hang around long enough they will get nervous and leave a lot of the time. But they will come in and stay a while also almost every time.
You nailed it Charlie. It's not 100% effective all the time, nothing is. But, if you follow all of good scent control procedures and a deer walks through your wind or it's marginal in your shooting area it will likely give you enough time to take care of business.

And I agree with the hog part, I swear they can smell you from up wind.

I owned the 200 and now the new 300. After watching several deer downwind not spook i can tell you that they smell something but not you. Amazing! Best bow hunting purchase (aside from your actual bow setup) you can make IMHO. I can also tell you that the people at Ozonics are extremely polite and helpful. I called and they answered every question I had when I was contemplating buying the first unit.

Ozonics ought to give TBH some cash for all this free positive publicity! Wife got me one for Christmas last year excited to hunt with it this season especially after reading all the good feedback here

          Do they work? YES.
Pretty dang amazing actually. I used one of Scott's prototypes originally. I did some experimenting with it.. It blew my mind. The fan was a little louder back then and I actually had a doe stick her head in the bush that I was in on a 4 foot tripod. She was directly down wind at 6 feet. She appeared to trying to find the noise.

In an inclosure or low wind situation, with it blowing and falling on you, it will give you a BAD headache though.

          The technology is flat works..

Not. Hunting the wind is great. But what if your deer come through on several trails all around you? Minimize that scent signature and you will see and kill more deer my friend.

I'm sure it says in the directions somewhere but do they need air flow to work/not overheat? I.e. could you put one in a sealed plastic tub with your clothes and be ok or would it need to be in a closet or "breathable" bag type situation.

All this great input has helped me make up my mind. So a little info behind the question. I was told this week that there is a pretty good buck hanging area my area at the lease. I plan on putting in the hours to try and get a shot on this guy. More to come, I hope

Ozone is in the air we breath every day just like oxygen and hydrogen. If you breath too much of any of these it's not good for you because you're suppose to have a mixture of them all.

Here's what I'm getting ready to try. I'll use it in a closet first to kill scent on my clothes and then bring it out to the stand with me. It only weighs about a pound and is really small, so no sweat off my back.
