If you can find a Log 6 Ozone generator, it was made specifically for this purpose. It has a 30 minute timer and a small hose that can be ran into a suit case or plastic tote. I bought mine from On Target Archery a few years ago.
I've read great reviews about these but I don't think they are around anymore.

They also work real well in the car when a tomato rolls out of a grocery bag up under a seat and doesn't get discovered until it rots.

Ozone has an extremely short half life and disapates rapidly. I wouldn't want it blowing in my face but I wouldn't hesitate to use one. I've been around ozone for years in the water treatment process and can tell you it can be some bad stuff. But I doubt the amounts and concentration these put out will kill you. May deteriorate your clothing quicker if used in a closed box. It is an oxidizer. And I doubt that you can just go out there smelling bad and expect it to kill all odor. I would think you would still need to practice scent control.

My dad used this unit the first few days of our bear hunt last week. I was super skeptical but my clothes stunk so I gave it a try myself and it really works.

The next day I shot two bears with this one weighing in at 235lbs field dressed.

As you will see in the instructions you don't want to put it behind you where it will fill the blind with ozone - that could be bad for your health. If you have it set up right you should barely be able to smell it. In a ground blind you are supposed to put it where it will blow out of a downwind window. Your scent is blowing out of that window and the ozone will eliminate it. In a tree stand you put it above your head, once again pointed downwind. The ozone is heavy and it will fall like a curtain through your scent stream. It is most effective in a tree stand when there is a light wind and it is constant from one direction. Heavy or swirling winds will dramatically reduce it's effectiveness.

I borrowed one to test before buying one... first sit, I moved a pop up directly upwind from a feeder and hand corn... Had a 150 class 10 point mature (6+ year old) come in to less than 10 yards completely calm and he fed/walked 360 degrees around me in my pop up... Does did the same thing... 30 minutes later a big ol' boar I was after started into the feeder. The instant he crossed the leading edge of my down wind direction he snorted and took off wide open... THAT'S when I officially gave up trying to fool a hog's nose... I'm convinced it can't be done! I had saturated the DB blind in dead downwind spray, same for my clothes/boots bow, all my gear. Clothes were washed in scent free soap then vacuum-sealed until I put them on after getting out of the truck to walk to the stand... Oh yea, I did go buy the Ozonics machine (well my bride did, for Christmas present), and If you do ALL your other usual scent elimination tactics right, that Ozonics will fool almost any whitetailed deer long enough for you to kill him/her with archery equipment if you want to... Eventually if they hang around long enough they will get nervous and leave a lot of the time. But they will come in and stay a while also almost every time.

For you guys that love your how many of you hunt in tree stands, and what are your results??

I have two stands on my 100 acre farm and it's really all I have set up to hunt, with that being said I've got them set up for north winds however the wind swirls very badly in these locations so I'm wondering how well an ozonics will work for me.

The 200 on high will work for this type of hunting. Make sure it is placed directly above you pointed towards where the wind is blowing. In a ground blind, you don't have to be as exact on how it is setup.

I have not had much luck in open stands but have had great luck in blinds. Never had any luck fooling a pigs nose though as Saltwaterslick already stated and I don't even bother to take it when hog hunting anymore. It's possible the new 300 will work better for open stands since it puts out more.

The tree stand mount has a swivel - I try to pay close attention to changes in wind direction (use a puffer) so I can adjust the unit accordingly

I've used ozone generators in tree stands and tripods backed up into trees and had deer downwind of me that didn't spook just like when using it in a ground blind. I've had deer stop and stand downwind of me for a while when I was in a tree stand before finally coming in too. I think they were probably getting a hint of scent, but they didn't spook and run off. Maybe they thought it was old or distant or something?? I've yet to have a deer get downwind of me while using ozone and snort and run off the way they do when you aren't using ozone though.

IMO i think all scent control is nothing but hoax, if a deer really wants to figure out if you there they will. I hunt the wind and hope for the best.
