Just heard LSU AD watched an old game and has rehired Les Miles for 45M over two years.

I think Bobby Petrino may be available mid season. He has done it before

Just texted a few UofL buddies. They said no way. Jurich gave him a second chance. They don't seem worried the least he would leave for another job. I think they put a little bit more faith into his word than most do. [emoji23]

            CFB 2016 Week 4 Thread

Top DT target Marvin Wilson said if Les gets fired, he was cutting LSU off the list. He just tweeted this.

One thing to watch the next few months is who the LSU recruits start following on Twitter. It's a big no no to recruit for another school while at another but no harm in starting to build a relationship with them.

Briles would make the most sense if they want to hit the ground running with recruiting. They currently have one of the top classes and in on some big time guys. They either hire him or play against him at Auburn. Briles also brings Stidham so its have QB, need job.

LSU is a pretty big job to have floating out there to have to keep your coach away from.

No doubt. I don't believe he's that loyal (now vs then) as they do. I think he would take it but hopefully it's a hard decision for him.

I knew what you were saying. I've been there before with coaches at BAMA and have not have believed even the things that make sense. The coaches have to deal from self interest, family etc. Who is his agent?

I had already pulled the paint crew together to get started on the Patrick Peterson Memorial Sideline for BAMA v. LSU.

LSU will be fine with recruiting as several key recruits (Kary Vincent Jr and Myles Brennan) have tweeted re-assuring their commitment to LSU - The University

LSU is BIGGER than any 1 player or Coach , same can be said about Texas, ND, USC, A&M, etc....

They will lose some recruits yet may gain new ones after the HC is named

If Marvin Wilson was committed to LSU b/c of Les Miles, then MW must have been content with a head coach that refuses to change and instill discipline in his players

IMO, under Les Miles in the last 5 yrs, LSU football has been very hard to watch and he sucked the life out of the program ... it was time for him to go
                          .

                            Very good points.

Will Les coach again? He's 62. Same age as Mack Brown when he was fired. They have about the same resume.

Who would want him? He's offensively inept in an offense crazy world. Does anyone know if he can actually recruit?

Interesting. I had no idea Mack and Les were both 62 when fired. I didn't realize Les was over 60. I think be coaches again but could be wrong.
