    CFB 2016 Week 4 Thread

Starting to see more conference play. I'm relieved that my Ags made it out of Jordan-Hare with a win, but they have a tough one in Arlington against the Razorbacks. Defense is looking salty, but they still need to shore up against the run. I think they offense will continue to gel, but inability to score TDs in the red zone is concerning. Still a lot of potential for this team to get much better.

How do you feel about your team(s) at the quarter pole?

Whoop! Just keep taking it one game at a time and don't let the ranking get to your head, defense is looking good, offense could be better but as long as they protect the ball and out points on the board and out good drives together I think the D will help them out! Big game just go take care of business

I'll get back to you on that in a couple weeks. They have a chance to sure some things up.

You pretty much hit it on the head. D looks good, offense has to get better. FG's won't cut it every week.

The #10 ranking is nice and all but I think it was too big of a jump. Just need to keep getting better and win games.

From 10,000 feet they are right where I expected them to be at 2-1 on the season. This bye week comes at a great time for them to get a ton of work in before they head to Ok State. They need to get healthy as well.

Same here. Sure hope the hogs show up Saturday to play. The Aggies seem to have our number for sure, played them tough the last two years but cant seem to come out of there with a win.
Sitting on the aggies side for this game so that should be fun. Think I will buy an Aggie jersey in case game gets too far out of hand.

My observations about the 'Horns; they are who we thought they were, a 7-5 team (maybe 8-4 with weaker than normal conference). I was "hopeful" they would be at 2-1 at this point and they are. I would have never believed the defense could be this bad. There is something systemically wrong beyond being young.

I was given tickets to the TAMU/Arkansas game this weekend and my boys will be in town for the game. It will be great to see them and I look forward to the tailgate. Hook'em Aggies!

Gonna get some work done at the lease and watch some games at camp.

Good luck to all the Texas teams.

That has been the rumor. Maybe GP will offer more than a Belichick answer in the presser

Dang there has been some amazing football! Some surprises and then some broken hearts! My Aggs pulled through and I am super happy right now. Defense looked good and I loved the adjustments that Chief made for the dual threat that came in. Tighten up on the run and we be solid. The offense is continuing to impress. One game at a time and keep pushing forward. I feel their confidence is growing and growing. They experienced a real D-Line Saturday night. Knight did well by keeping drives alive and not hitting the panic button. That is all he needs to do. The group I give the most pause to is our receivers? RSJ and Noil need to figure it out. RSJ ended up with some key catches but also dropped some key easy balls. Also for the life of me why he doesn't realize how big he is and just truck folks instead of fancy footwork. Noil seems like he doesn't know what to do or doesn't care? He had one man to beat and then touch down, he chose to step out of bounds instead of nifty move or lower his head? Noil is a stud and wish he would play like it. We are going to need all hands on deck this Saturday because I feel that Arkansas is plum tired of us. BTHO Arkansas!

Three games in and the biggest issues belong to the defense. They're 11th in the nation for team sacks, although the push isn't there. Other than that, The rushing D has it's moments and they're giving up an average of 3.59 yds/ply. The secondary on the other hand is 73rd in the country and 10th/dead last (TCU and OU are 8th and 9th) in the big 12 for passing efficiency while they're also 105th in scoring defense nationally and eighth in the big 12.

                            Offense, check.

                            Defense, dumpster fire.

                            11:00 am kick in Stillwater.

Is the defense the next layer of the onion? I'm beginning to have my doubts Bedford can get it done. Obviously, the execution has been pitiful but, at some point, it has to go back to coaching. Sometimes it just looks like we are trying to be too cute instead of just playing sound positional defense.
