Having problems with A Taxi in Crosby
They just sent me a pic so I'm feeling much better about it.
They seem like really nice folks when you get them on the phone. I just have heard horror stories about Taxi's and no communication then they disappear.

I remember reading on TBH about holding on to your actual horns until the taxi is ready to put them on. That way, you know exactly where they are until the final stage before pickup
I don't know if this is actually an option because I've never tried it, just something I've seen said here.
If/when I get a deer like that, you better believe I will exercise this option

It's absolutely an option. I do it every year with with both my whitetails and muleys. I peel the cape all the way off, and keep the skull intact. I freeze the cape and when I'm headed north to visit family I drop it off at my taxi. I skull mount the head, fondle and coon finger the antlers for about 10 months, then take them by my taxi when he is ready for them. People ask me why I didn't shoulder mount a particular deer, and I explain to them that it is being shoulder mounted but I keep my skullmounted antlers until the taxi is ready. (usually about 3 weeks before the mount is scheduled to be finished)
Both of these are patiently waiting.....Last edited by MASTERS; 09-16-2016, 05:46 PM.

This^^^^then give him an alligator hunt and let borrow your special 45.
Where is Crosby? I may be up for a road trip since Chew didn't pick me for the drive-by.
