Herman is not leaving H Town. The takeover is not complete. Houston will match everyone and they will become the new U. H Town Gangstas in the house.

There will be some more Longhorn/Cougar tussles for supremacy like the 70s and 90s.

Unless we run the table or only have two loses going into the game please, please, please put the final nail in the coffin.

You think they'll match Texas if Charlie goes 6-6?

Tillman Fertitta has a huge check book. UH will match and then give a little bonus.

I wouldn't want to be in a bidding war with Texas.

I'm trying to pick up what your putting down but I'm lost.

Are you meaning you would like Herman to coach Texas but Charlie isn't going 6-6?

If UH is not getting a Big 12 invite before the end if the season, Herman will likely go to a big program. The Big 12 invite would be the only reason he may possibly stay

I think he goes. Most coaches don't consider UH a destination job.

I could see Fertitta doing it to prove a point. He gets pretty emotional when he talks about it on the news.

Pre season polls matter bc without them we wouldn't have Texas at 11 and wisc at 9 right now. Like them or not there has to be some sort of way to judge teams when they play week 1 after the games are done. I mean who really had a good win and is a good team if u don't have a measuring stick to compare them to?

It's about to get real , we really need to beat auburn. I have a feeling our team this year is mature and will only get better as season goes on. And how exactly did the auburn tigers get war **** eagle ? How does an eagle and a tiger make sense? Anyone know he story

cant wait to see the Ags this week. Auburn's defense is salty, so this will be a litmus test for Trevor Knight and the offense. If I were a betting man, I would take the under on this one as it will likely be a defense battle (just how i like it)!

I think Michigan and Tennessee both benefitted most from their "blue blood" status in the pre season polls. Harbaugh is a good coach. He's also generated a lot of buzz for the program and they've had a couple of years of recruiting success. But are they a Top 5 team in Harbaugh's second season? Same with Tennessee. I'm not concerned, because either their play will support the ranking, or they'll drop if they lose. Even tu and Wisconsin have shown us something already to somewhat justify their ranking. TN and MI haven't yet. They'll get their chances, though.

http://www.auburn.edu/aubie/. "War Eagle" is Auburn's battle cry, not a mascot or nickname. The most popular story about the battle cry dates back to the first time Auburn met Georgia on the football field in 1892 and centers around a spectator who was a veteran of the Civil War.Nov 23, 2015

It's a battle cry that originated after the civil war. I had a boss that was an Auburn Tiger and schooled me on it many years ago! He hated Alabama!
