Carnival? That's the State Fair of Texas. The crowd split 50/50 also makes for a unique experience.
It's a great atmosphere.
I had an opportunity at cheap tickets this year to Ohio St/Michigan but couldn't make it work with my schedule. I would have loved to see that fiasco and see how it compared to Texas/OU.
agree to disagree. There is a carnival that surrounds the game. Novel, but not differentiating.
There's not another game like it! State fair in the background, crowd 50/50, neutral venue that is equal distance for each team...it's an amazing atmosphere, unlike any other game I've ever attended.
Texas A&M and LSU will no longer play on Thanksgiving night at Kyle Field after this season: chron.com/sports/aggies/… via @houstonchron

Hmm...I can think of another classic rivalry that could take that spot. These heads need to me it happen. I couldn't imagine what the ticket prices would be. Maybe it could be held at texas motor Speedway and be a copycat of the battle at Bristol. Sell 200,000 tickets or something crazy. The tailgate would be sick

Not sure if you've ever been to TMS, but that wouldn't really work.
I think that game needs to be home and home, and early season.

The sight lines had to be horrible for Bristol. I'm all for keeping the TX / OU game at the Cotton Bowl over the watchful eye of Big Tex. When TX and A&M play again I hope it's not at a neutral sight like NRG or Cowboy stadium.

Ahh, no I havent. Home and home would be good too. Just not sure I'm ready to pony up $400 per ticket. I'd have to feel pretty confident in my ags. I would really like to go to a game though at DKR seeing I never went in college. I was too busy hunting or chasing girls.

The sight lines, and distances at Bristol were in fact, aweful. TMS is 3X the size of Bristol.
