I have a fiddle or violin made in France in 1721. Been in my family for over 170 years. Sadly no one in the family alive today knows how to play it including me.

Correction. It's my great grandfathers clock. Not my great great grandfather. Not enough coffee yet.

I have several coins and rifles from my grandfather. Just the other day my mother gave me a small table that was my great grandfathers that he had made. I have it in the house now.

Very cool you have that! My older cousins got all that kinda stuff. I do have one of my grandfather's saddles that has a broken tree. I need to clean it up and display it somewhere.

What a great thread......I was recently given newspaper dies from the late 1700s. One of my ancestors made the dies for the papers and they have been handed down through the years. All of them are made out of wood and feature faces of the most important people of the time. I had no idea they existed until this past June when they were given to me.

                                Oldest family heirloom

Thing I think of first is the several hundred acres of family land we all live on - been in family since 1800s. There are now like 22-23 houses and all family here...Original house is still here on farm and lived in- built in 1893 or so
I have some guns and my dad still has some I will have one day ......
My mom has some old stuff from my grandma - written records, photos, deeds, etc. lot of this land was bought for like 20 bucks an acre and descriptions in deed use forked trees and "guns barrel length"

Here is my octagon barrel 22
