I'd say killing a 150 typical 10 or 12 in the post oak region where I hunt would equal killing a 200" south Texas or Kansas deer. This is an area where 130's are a really good deer and 140's a monster.
If someone has the money to buy genetics they will swear by it until the day they die.....$$$$$$

I see where you are coming from. I too enjoy looking at bucks of all kinds (High fence or low fence). It does seem like the 150"+ free range bucks get a little looked over.......but then again, I could care less what anyone thinks about my deer. I set my goals depending on what is practical and what I can financially afford. I do it for my satisfaction. If anyone is growing big deer or trying to kill big deer just to impress someone........ you will be severely disappointment. There's always bigger.

I had a client in my man cave comment on an axis I recently shot and had European mounted. He said man that's a nice one! I told him he almost bumped his head on a 209" non typical free range wt that was bow killed and said nothing!
I must admit my eyes start to glaze over when I look at high fenced huge racks.
Pretty, but . . .
