Look at Black Jack boots. They are custom made, that you can buy off the shelf or build your own. They have a contract with Cavender's. The bootmakers for Black Jack used to be with Lucchese.

I bought my first pair a few weeks ago and the price is very reasonable for custom's. I'll definitely be getting another pair.

I have a pair of black jacks but they aren't near as comfortable as my Rio's of Mercedes. Best boots ever! Do yourself a favor and go to them!

I have Rios, Beans, and Leddy now. I like all of them a lot, but I find myself wearing the Beans most of the time. Probably just because they were the first custom boot I had made and they are broken in the most.

I had a pair made @ Leddy's in Abilene. had them for 8-9 years. resoled several times and still holding up great. I wear them pretty much anytime I am not at work. They are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet. I prefer them to tennis shoes.

Edit: I see Shane has more recent info On Leddy's in Abilene. I believe mine were made before James Died, so I have no experience with the new owner but if Shane gives a thumbs up I would trust it.

Ok.........she just text Medina Custom Boots. Does lots of the "well heeled" folks in Houston but my wife was extremely happy with the 2 hour fitting as the guy was a hoot!

Jesse's Boots on FM1960. Best boot buying experience ever! I spent 3-4 hours trying on boots for my wedding in the retail stores around here. I was in and out of Jesse's in 15 minutes. You will not find better customer service anywhere.
