Hit up Erol at South Texas Prime. I've had several built from honchos, hondos and olathes turn around is about 2 months.

      Thank you,

Not easy on them? The walk from the cush office to the truck to go point fingers from said truck must be really rocky and treacherous....

Curt, Denise got fitted last week for some alligators. I will ask who the maker is and get it to you. I do know the guy is related to the Carraba's and quite the character......in a good way.

Have a couple pair of Becks, and very happy with them. I would highly recommend them, especially for a boot you are going to wear every day. They will send you a sizing kit in the mail.

Hard to point a finger when he wont roll the window down far enough to let the AC out.

It's really the back side of the heel that wears out from all the driving...

Ramblin Trails Custom Boots. Their shop is on Exchange in the stockyards. I have all mine made by Bustamante Boots in Amarillo. Both places are really good. Go to the ranch rodeo in Witchita Falls this weekend and there will be several boot makers at the trade show.

I got a pair from Rocky Carrol's that I like. A couple friends of mine have gotten boots made at Jesse's Boot Repair off College St. that are really nice.

I know 3 or 4 guys whove used this guy. Even George Bush has been there.

Another vote for Little's boots. I have a pair they made me 11 years ago. Resoled twice, but still worn weekly.

I had another pair made by an old local guy that worked for Luchesse for many years. His price was 30+% cheaper than Little's and his lead time was only 2 months versus 9 months at Little's. They are good boots but not great boots like the Little's.

James Leddy Boots here in Abilene is another good one, Curt. James died several years ago, and some friends of mine bought it. Al Dos Santos and his family came here from South Africa. He had a very successsful shoe/boot business there for years, but after going through all kinds of violence and extortion due to the black on white political violence years ago, they pretty much left everything they had there and moved here to start over.

He makes a great boot. I'm wearing a pair of Justin ostrich boots right now that were uncomfortable and squeaked when I walked. I had Al rebuild them, and they are awesome now. My dad has some customs from Al, and he loves them. Al also makes a cool safari boot that he designed and made years ago in Africa.

You have tons of great options all over the state, but if you end up coming here, give me a shout. I'll take you to Perini's for the best steak you ever had.

Owen's Boots in Clarendon, Texas. Best boots I've ever owned. Family owned and operated and have been in busy as long as I can remember.
