Do a Goggle Earth search on Lake Diversion, Electra Tx. Talk about some trash! Looks like a landfill. No wonder they want it cleaned up.

I have to think the previous owners should have worked something out wit them before they sold, the new owner although a douch bag doesn't owe them anything.

That being said.. new guy is a still a assclown..and that has nothing to do with the ranch.

Expect to see housing developments and shopping malls on that property very soon.
        Waste of Texas History.
Hahahaha. You've never been through the ranch have you?

I love all this "Black Eye" talk, you guys should do some research on the previous ownership. Not as rosy as some would have you believe. A lot of the Waggoners were spoiled *******s.

One would think that the counties and cities that actually own the lakes would step in for these people. As I understand it the ranch only owns some the land around certain parts and has no control or ownership of the lake and the water itself.
I sure hope karma has it's say in the matter.

Although the article states that Kroenke's name was included with the letter, I think you could say with some degree of confidence that he may not even know that all this is going on.

Those people have been living on borrowed time for years. It's not the job of the cities or taxpayers to bail them out.

This has been coming for a long time, they are looking for a handout. Again it's worth noting.....these are not generational employees of the ranch, just people living on year to year leases that they should have known could expire at any time.

The lakes are actually owned by the City of Wichita Falls, and Wichita County, and run by the COE. SOME of the surrounding land is owned by the ranch.

Some have been there generations....on year to year leases. I read a quote from one of the geniuses stating that she'd "Never lived anywhere else her whole entire life....for the last 10 years". They want someone else to make up for their poor decisions.

I'd be very curious to know how much the leases were?

Me too... and how one went about getting one.... or getting loans to build homes on property you don't own...or have long term paper on

The Go Fund Me account set up in the OP's link has only generated $700 out of a $250,000 goal in 9 days. I read the post. Big bad greedy billionaire is ruining their lives.

While I get the history these families have related to the property the reality is all the new owner is asking them to do is leave with plenty of time to prepare for it.

How ironic they are asking for $250K to help them move.

I bet they shoot some nice deer this season....
